Our Funeral Services

49-Day Prayer Service

The 49-Day Prayer is a significant Buddhist tradition observed after the funeral. During this period, the memorial tablet, incense urn, and photograph of the deceased are placed at home or in a temple as the family engages in merit-making activities such as offering prayers, observing a vegetarian diet, or performing charitable acts.

Key prayer milestones typically take place on the 7th, 21st, 35th, and 49th day, with the final ceremony marking the conclusion of the mourning period. Families may also prepare offerings like food, flowers, and paper items in remembrance.

Our funeral directors are here to guide you through each step with care and respect. Contact us to learn more or to make arrangements.

Gong Teck Ceremony

Gong Teck is a meaningful Buddhist and Taoist ritual held to accumulate merit for the deceased, typically observed over 1 to 3 days depending on the family’s wishes. The ceremony often includes the burning of a large paper mansion and religious rites led by either Buddhist monks or Taoist priests.

It is commonly conducted on the 49th day, 100th day, and the 1st and 3rd year death anniversaries.

In Buddhist services, monks chant scriptures and conclude with the Ulka-mukha Dharma (Releasing of the Flaming Mouth) — a ritual that offers food to relieve the suffering of hungry spirits.
In Taoist services, rites are tailored to the deceased’s heritage, focusing on honouring their memory through traditional customs.

Our team is here to assist with all arrangements and guide you through the process. Contact us to learn more.

Exhumation Services

Under Singapore’s New Burial Policy, graves may be exhumed after 15 years. The coffin will be respectfully removed, and any human remains will be cremated. Families can choose to store the ashes in a columbarium or scatter them at sea, depending on religious and personal preferences.

Our experienced funeral directors will conduct a site visit to assess the location and provide guidance on the full process, including costs and necessary arrangements. We also offer a selection of dignified marble urns for your consideration.

Let us support you through this important transition. Contact us to learn more or schedule a consultation.
